Resumo

It is with great enthusiasm that we present the fourth issue of our journal, Margarida Penteado, which has established itself as a vital platform for reflections and innovations in the field of Geomorphology. In this second year, our publication not only continues to offer high-quality research articles but also enriches itself with "geomorphological flashes." These short texts provide an excellent opportunity for authors and readers to reflect on current themes, facilitating agile and relevant discussions on issues associated with our field.

In this issue, we are also pleased to introduce another novelty: the section of "Technical Notes." This section includes texts that, although they do not represent significant advancements in methodologies, offer valuable contributions that deserve to be shared. Technical notes allow professionals and scholars of geomorphology to share relevant experiences and techniques that can enrich the practice and teaching of the discipline.

Our commitment to innovation is also reflected in the continuation of the maps section, the dissemination of theses and books related to Geomorphology, and the highly appreciated section of geomorphological photos - the Geomorphotos - which visually transport us to the various facets of our science.

However, we face an important challenge. The DOI for the first issue was previously established through the hiring of a specialized company. However, this arrangement has proven complicated, as we are encountering difficulties in advancing independently, due to financial constraints imposed by the company. As we seek autonomy in managing the journal, we are working to reverse this situation, which explains the absence of a DOI in this issue. Aware of the relevance that a DOI represents for the visibility and accessibility of our work, we promise that the situation will be resolved and that DOIs will be added later as we succeed in reestablishing our autonomy.

We thank all our readers, collaborators, and authors for their understanding and support. It is the union of forces and commitment to knowledge that continues to motivate us on our journey. We hope you enjoy the contributions of this issue and that we continue together in the pursuit of a brighter future in the field of Geomorphology.
